How are we going to improve cancer research over the next 12-18 months?
Fund research projects with our existing departments in Radiation Oncology, Artificial Intelligence, Computational Oncology, and 3D Printing. Research for a reason.
Support graduate programs to motivate the brightest minds in the research community through fellowships, scholarships, and placements.
Develop a virtual research platform and negotiate membership agreements with Universities, Hospitals, Cancer Centres, and Research Institutions in Western Australia.
Investigate the scope for building a purpose-built research and treatment facility in Western Australia. Provide a proposal to the State Government for five potential locations.
Introduce one new advanced treatment option that is not currently available to Western Australians.
Hold quarterly networking events to provide a relaxed and social forum to bring together stakeholders in the research, clinical, and business space. Provide updates on the progress of CATCR.
Secure $2M AUD in grass-roots funding to get the wheels of research turning. We are aiming for self-sufficiency in the long-term.
Establish ten new corporate partnerships to support the growth and operational capabilities of our organisation.
Where do we want to be in five years?
Establish new advanced research departments, including: Mathematical Modelling, Immunotherapy, Bioinformatics, and Exercise Oncology.
Become a financial asset to the State of Western Australia through investment and commercialisation to cover operating costs and reduce reliance on Government grants. Enable public funding to go directly to research costs.
Secure Government approval, tender and award construction, and commence funding campaign to support Government co-funding.
Become a household name in cancer research and establish a cross-pollinated network of researchers, clinicians, and corporate partners. Establish annual conference and charity ball events.
The future we want for all West Australians
Gone are the days where those with cancer need to travel abroad to get the help they need. Every cancer, every treatment option, for every West Australian.
